Opened in 2009, the Langham Yangtze Boutique Shanghai is located in downtown- near the Nanjing road. Neighboring the hotel are some famous tourist attractions like Renmin Square, the Bund, Yuyuan Gardern and so on. It is 3 kilometers away from the Shanghai Railway Station, 16 kilometers away from the Hongqiao Airport and 45 kilometers away from the Pudong Airport.

Location could not of been better, you are very close to shopping, the Bund, parks and museums. The lobby and public areas of the hotel have been nicely decorated. The bar as well as the Chinese restaurant at the 2nd floor well worth a visit. The coffee shop in the lobby area offered many types of cuisine. And with windows at pedestrian level, you can watch the world pass by just outside. Free wifi in the lobby was terrible and it would of been nice to be able to have a drink in the lounge before 4pm. Room was very large with nice bed and pillows; the bathroom was elegant and large with a great glassed-in deep tub and shower area. All in all, a lovely hotel and a nice change from the high volume large international hotels.

You can feel history and elegance of the hotel as soon as you walk into the building. You can't help but think not a great deal has changed apart from the interiors. There is a very nice blend of old and enough of the new not to dilute the old world feel. Room well designed but slightly worn in spots. Very clean. Bed comfortable. A little street noise. The service is excellent and you get everything you need during you your stay - also, the Bar on the second floor services you the drinks you need after a long business day to calm down before you go to bed.

This is my first time at this hotel and I love it. Location is excellent and you have a subway entrance (number 14) just 100 meters outside the Hotel where you can get lines 1,2 and 10. If you have to go to Hongqiao airport or railway station (and you don't carry big luggage and don't have to travel during peak hours) this is the best choice as you can get to airport in 35 minutes and to the railway station in just 40 minutes. I love the Art Deco Style and the bathroom was huge. I had a room overlooking the street. Room is clean and has every service required. An fanstatic hotel and is now my choice for when ever visiting Shanghai, fully recommend to everyone.
