There are 8 Huangshan attractions covered below. Yellow Mountain Scenic Area is of course the most famous, but Hongcun (Hong Village), Tachuan and Xidi Village should be visited too for their atmospheric architecture, quaint setting and stunning backdrops.
Attractions are mostly scenic with breath-takingly beautiful mountains and the crystal-clear Xin’an River. Apart from in the villages near the Yellow Mountains, there is more ancient architecture closer to the city (Tunxi Ancient Street in Huangshan City and the Shexian Memorial Arches).
Hi Victor, there is no direct transportation from Huangshan to Guilin. You can take bus to Hangzhou first, no bullet trains, sorry. From Hangzhou to Guilin, and from Guilin to Guangzhou, direct flights are available. Do you need us to arrange the air tickets for you?Whitney Liao Replied on 2013-03-07
There is a direct train and direct plane from Huangshan to Guangzhou. The train departs at 23:54, and arrives at 18:08, costs CNY486(US$76.5) for soft sleeper. But Huangshan is not the starting station, it might be difficult to buy the tickets. So I suggest you take a plane, duration of 1 and 40minutes and costs 960 for the economic seat.
