I would like to visit Jiuxiang, Stone Forest and Dongchuan Red Land in September 2014. What are their directions from Kunming? Is there a lot of walking at the Stone Forest and at Jiuxiang caves? I have a person who cannot walk too much. What other places would you recommend to visit for a person who cannot do a lot of walking?
It is about 90 km from Jiuxiang to Kunming, about 120km from Stone Forest to Kunming and about 160 km from Dongchuan to Kunming. To visit these attractions, you need to spend 2 hours at least. I think it might be difficult for your friend.
You could visit Cuihu Park, Kunming Horticulture Expo Garden and Dounan Flowers Market. More details: http://www.chinahighlights.com/kunming/attraction/ Lussie Lu replied on 2014-06-04

Hi there, I want to visit kunming. My friend lives in Chuxiong, 120 KM west of Kunming. What is the easiest and cheapest way to go to Chuxiong from Kunming?
The easiest and cheapest way to go to Chuxiong from Kunming is taking bus, about 2 hours. It costs 60 RMB.
You can take the bus at Kunming Nanyao passenger station. The telephone number is 0871-3510739.
You can also take train to Kunming, which is cheaper. But it takes about more than 4 hours.
