Longsheng County is located 78 kilometers (50 miles) northeast of Guilin City. Buses between Guilin and Longsheng are frequent. From Longsheng County, travelers can take buses to Longji Rice Terraced Fields and nearby counties.
Longsheng Bus Station
It is the final stop for all buses bound for Longsheng. It is also the station for all intercity buses for nearby counties of Ziyuan and Sanjiang, and long distance buses to Shenzhen and Guangzhou.
Guilin-Longsheng
Direct buses depart every 40 minutes from 6:40 till 18:00, and the ride takes about 2 hours.

Longsheng to Ping'an Village
Longsheng is the gateway bus station to access Ping'an and the Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces. The ride may be around 7 yuan, (Lonely Planet said 6.50) but there's a 50 yuan per person entrance fee into the park area that contains admission to Ping'an. This is a great ride if you like cliff-hugging, narrow roads, and is therefore scenic if the weather cooperates. It is also the only way up from Longsheng, though you could probably get private transport along the same road.
Longsheng to Sanjiang
Buses from Longsheng to Sanjiang run from 6:00 till 20:00 every day, with departure almost every 30 minutes. The ride takes about 2 hours, and the road is bumpy.
Longsheng to Ziyuan
Every day there are about 2 buses from Longsheng to Ziyuan, departing at 07:20 and 13:50 (for reference only). The ride takes about 3 hours, and the road condition is not very good.
Hi, We have one day in Guilin on November 13th and we plan to go to Longsheng before we depart to Beijing by plane at 9 PM (should be arrived at the airport at 6 PM). We are 10 persons and plan to go to Longji Terrace (Longsheng) from Lijiang Guilin at around 10 AM. We are thinking of using private shuttle bus. There is no official direct bus from Guilin Train Station to Longji rice field, and the traffic to Longji terraces is really inconvenient.
Or there is a direct bus provide by Tianranju Inn. If you want to sleep next to the terraces, Tianranju Inn is a good choice. The bus departs from the parking area of Guilin Train Station at 8:30 every morning. After arrive the parking area of Longji terraces, you still have to walk for 40mins to the Inn.

Longsheng is a county which is about 2.5 hours away from Guilin, it doesn't have an airport. The quickiest way to go from Longsheng to Guangzhou is to take a direct flight from Guilin. It is a 1-hour flight about CNY750 per ticket including tax and surcharge.
Overnight trains are available at a cost of CNY326 and it is a 11-hour train, overnight buses are also available at a similar cost.
