Dragon Boat Festival, 2003
May 5 by Lunar calendar is Chinese Dragon Boat Festival. One of the conventions of the festival is to row dragon boats.
On june 4, the Dragon Boat Festival of 2003, over nine dragon boats ornamented with red ribbons and colored flags sailed on the Li River mainly between the Liberation Bridge and the Elephant Trunk Hill.
That all the rowers row the boats with the same rhythm, accompanied by drumbeat and cracks of fireworks, symbolizes the solidarity and collaboration.
