More convenient to Hong Kong from Beijing and Shanghai by air
It was announced by the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China that since 2008, flights from 49 mainland cities to Hong Kong will no longer limit capacity. This new policy means that airline companies will be allowed to arrange flights between mainland and Hong Kong on their own. The number of flights from Beijing, Shanghai to Hong Kong will have a great increase and more convenience is to provide to travelers.
The CAAC signed an agreement with the Transport and Housing Bureau of Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to bestow more right and flexibility to the airline companies to run the business. According to that agreement, airline companies are allowed to adjust flights on the route based on demand.
