Bullet Trains Cut Beijing/Xi’an–Pingyao Trips to 3 or 4 Hours

From July 1st, 2014, the Chinese railway authority will put many new bullet trains officially into operation. One of the benefits for tourists is that Pingyao Ancient City can be reached from Beijing in as little as 4 hours 10 minutes and from Xi'an in 2 hours 53 minutes.

Ticket Prices

Beijing to/from Pingyao: 255 yuan per person for a first class seat, 183 yuan per person for a second class seat.

Xi'an to/from Pingyao: 187 yuan per person for a first class seat, 150 yuan per person for a second class seat.
