The 3rd Guangzhou International Light Festival will kick off in Haixinsha on November 16, 2013, and will last 28 days.
Guangzhou International Light Festival is hosted by the People's Government of Guangzhou Municipality, Lighting Urban Community International, and China Illumination Engineering Society.
The Light Festival started in 2011, and has been held twice. This year, the light exhibitions will be centered on Huacheng Square, and will spread to the both sides of the Pearl River, including the unique Pazhou Exhibition Complex.
It is expected that more than 8,000,000 visitors will come to see the light festival this year.
Themed "Fantastic Guangzhou, City of Golden Lights 幻彩广州，鎏光之城", the 2013 Guangzhou International Light Festival will feature a series of colorful activities, including a creative lighting competition, and a lighting photography exhibition.
The must-see activity in this festival called 'The Light of Asia — Sound and Light Show' (亚洲之光·声光秀). The light performance will display Guangzhou's beautiful cityscape accompanied by fashionable music elements, offering visitors a feast of sight and sound.
This year wonderful displays with various styles and characteristics will be held near different observation points in Guangzhou, so that visitors don't need to squeeze into the same crowd to enjoy the beautiful night views of the city, with their dazzling colored lights.
