High speed yacht shortens journey for Three Gorges
A high speed yacht, costing more than RMB20 million and named Dragon Boat Tour, has been successfully tested in the Three Gorges area.
The traditional tour from Yi Chang to Wan Zhou previously took two or three days. But now it can be shortened to one day by the high speed yacht. This tour is 300 kilometers long, including more than 10 scenic spots.
This new high speed yacht reportedly has such good stability that the travelers can't feel the motion of the waves. The yacht has 86 seats with a high speed reaching 72 kilometers per hour, about 30 kilometers per hour faster than normal boats in the Three Gorges area.
