Make a Train Tour to Tibet
After Tibet was reopened to foreign tourists on June 25th, 2008, more and more foreign tourists are now planning to revive Tibet travel. At present, the best way to enter Tibet is traveling by train because the China airlines has raised the fuel surcharges on domestic flights and the views on both sides of the railway to Tibet are really fantastic.

China Highlights contacted our cooperative travel agencies in Gansu, Qinghai and Chongqing where the trains will pass while entering Tibet. They informed us three new rules to book train tickets to Tibet:
- Book your Tibet train 15 days in advance. You also need to book your Tibet tour, book your hotel and apply for Tibet Travel Permit 15 days in advance. 10 things you need to know before traveling to Tibet.
- One passport holder can only buy one ticket. In the past, one passport holder could buy three.
- You need to provide a copy of your passport and a copy of your Tibet Travel Permit to book the ticket. Apply for Tibet Travel Permit.
