Weekly Weather Forecast (July 31 to August 6)

Northwest China: July 31 to August 1, most of the region will enjoy sunny skies with sultry and hot weather expected in some areas. August 2 to 3, southern Shaanxi will be overcast with light rainfall or showers while the remainder parts of the region will be sunny with higher temperatures expected in some places. August 4, northern Xinjiang will have light rainfall or showers. August 5 to 6, eastern sections will meet light to moderate rain or showers with heavy to stormy rain in some areas.

North China: July 31 to August 1, most of the region will receive light to moderate rain or thunder showers, accompanied by occasional torrential rainfall, strong winds and even hail. Some of central and eastern sections will meet heavy to stormy rainfall. August 3, eastern sections will have light to moderate rain or showers. August 4 to the daytime of August 5, most sections will be under sunny to cloudy skies. From the night of August 5 to August 6, most of the region will receive a precipitation from west to east.

Northeast China: July 31 to August 1, most of the region will have light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by occasional thunderstorms, strong winds and even hail. Some of central and southern sections will see heavy to stormy rain. August 4 to 5, easternmost sections will continue to have showers or thundershowers accompanied by short-time strong convective weather. August 6, most of the region will enjoy sunshine.

 

 

Central China: July 31 to August 1, central and northern parts will have light to moderate rain or thundershowers with heavy rainfall in some places, accompanied by short-time strong convective weather. August 2, most of the region will have light to moderate rain or showers with heavy rain in some of northern parts. August 3 to 4, most of the region will be sunny cloudy. August 5 to 6, northern and southern parts will experience showers or thundershowers.

 

Tourist Destinations in this region: Luoyang, Pingyao

 

East China: July 31, areas north of the Huaihe River will have light to moderate rain or showers with heavy rain in some places, accompanied by occasional thunderstorms, strong winds and even hail. Most areas south of the Huaihe River will have sultry weather. August 1 to 2, areas north of the Yangtze River will have light to moderate rain or thundershowers, while some of Shandong Province will meet heavy rainfall or storms, accompanied by occasional strong convective weather. August 3, most of Shandong will continue to have thundershowers while the rest of the region will be sunny to cloudy. August 4 to 6, most parts will be sunny or cloudy with hot days in some areas.

 

Tourist Destinations: Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Suzhou, Huangshan(Yellow Mountain)

South China: July 31 to August 1, western and southern parts will have showers or thundershowers. August 3 to 5, western parts and southern coastal areas will expect more heavy rains along with strong winds.

 

Tourist Destinations: Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guilin

 

Southwest China: July 31 to August 2, eastern Tibet and eastern parts of the region will have light to moderate rain or showers with heavy rainfall in some areas. August 3 to 5, southern Tibet and the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau will receive showers; the Sichuan Basin and Chongqing Municipality will be sunny and hot. August 6, eastern parts will have light to moderate rain or showers with heavy to stormy rain in some of Yunnan and Guizhou provinces.
