Yangshuo Climbing Festival to Be Held in October 2013
The sixth Yangshuo Climbing Festival is coming soon in one of China's most beautiful places — Yangshuo, Guilin, from October 25th to 27th, 2013.
About the Festival
Yangshuo Climbing Festival, the most popular climbing festival in China and one of the largest climbing festivals in the Asia, started in 2008, attracting numerous climbing enthusiasts from other parts of China and around the world. Each participant will get a climbing festival T-shirt and souvenirs from the sponsors.
The purpose of the climbing festival is to promote the development of the sport of rock climbing, and build a sense of community among climbers in China and from around the world.
Activities include a treasure hunt, bouldering competitions,outdoor training, taster climbing opportunities, a mountain bike race, outdoor movies, a music festival, a BBQ\beer festival, and a lucky draw.
Many well-designed routes will be available to meet the needs of climbers of different levels.
Yangshuo, located 64 km south of Guilin, is a popular tourist destination, and famous for the world's most impressive karst landscapes and traditional fishing-village lifestyle. Some popular attractions of Yangshuo include: Moon Hill, Butterfly Spring, Yulong River, Silver Cave, and West Street.
