China Highlights Attended the 6th UNWTO/PATA International Forum

China Highlights attended the 6th UNWTO/PATA Forum on Tourism Trends and Outlook in Guilin's Shangri-la Hotel on October 12th, 2012.

The 6th UNWTO/PATA International Forum was organized by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), Guilin Municipal Government, Guangxi Autonomous Region Tourism Bureau, and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. China Highlights has been a member of PATA since 2000.

Statistics shared show that tourist growth in Asia and the Pacific is up 6% (compared to a world figure of 5%) in terms of international tourist arrivals, and spending is up 13% (world spending growth 4%). Asia and the Pacific claim 22% of tourist arrivals (218,000,000) and 28% of international tourist receipts (US$289 bn).

More than 200 experts, scholars, overseas journalists and guests attended. China Highlights' representatives were Victor Shu (the director of China Highlights) and Brian Trower (Language & Marketing Consultant).
