The 12^th CDTF (China Domestic Travel Fair) ended with high acclaim on the 16^th April after two day’s exhibition in Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.  More than 40,000 representatives of 1400 travel agents from 31 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions including Hong Kong and Macau and over 100,000 visitors attended this exhibition.

   It was a very successful travel event with high standard exhibits on a large scale, according to Liu Kezhi, Director of International Communication Promotion Department of National Tourism Bureau.  He said that this event had created a cooperative platform which enhances further cooperation and communication between regional tourism bureaus and the travel industry nationwide. Many agreements were made on this platform during this session, including “Agreement on Tourism Cooperation between two provinces” between Guangxi, Sichuan, Yunnan, and Hainan.

   The 13^th China Domestic Travel Fair will be held in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province in 2006.
