Ethnic Festival Celebrated on April 8th
On 8th of the forth lunar month of China, ethnic people including miao, yao, buyi, dong in Guizhou province, west of Hunan province and north of Guangxi usually celebrate their special festival by all kinds of activities, such as dancing, singing, worshiping for better harvest.
Particularly on this day, these minorities worship cows—a symbol of harvest. After that the young and old all climb the hill to enjoy spring, which they call "naochun" in Chinese. Every one enjoys the games. The young will sing face to face, and the aged hunt and women climb together with their children.
