Chengdu offers 72-hour visa-free transit policy for foreign visitors from 1 September, 2013.

Visitors from the following 51 countries with a confirmed interline ticket and valid visa to a third country or region can enjoy a 72 hours trip in Chengdu without visa on direct transit via the Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport.

The 51 countries are Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, the Slovak Republic, the Republic of Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Russia, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Republic of Cyprus, the Republic of Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Croatia, the Republic of Serbia, the Republic of Montenegro, the Republic of Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Albania, The United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Australia, New Zealand, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Singapore, Brunei, United Arab Emirates, Qatar.
