Besides opportunities for bargain and luxury shopping, tourists enjoy the cheap food and down to earth laid back style in many areas.

There are huge bargain shopping markets for electronics at Hua Qiang Bei. But buyer beware. It is also a clothing store area. And Window of the World/Happy Valley amusement park area is becoming better known.

To go to Shenzhen, you can take the one-hour bullet train ride from Guangzhou East Station to Luohu and then take the local metro for a short ride to Huaqiangbei for shopping or to the city's new extremely tall skyscraper/mall/hotel complexes at KK100 or the Ping An Tower.
