Heilongjiang Prepares For Golden Week Holiday
Heilongjiang Tourism Department has conducted a spot-check of safety and service quality of tourism facilities to ensure that every tourist can enjoy a safe and happy holiday during the coming October Golden Week holiday.
According to local media, an inspection team made up of staff from Heilongjiang Provincial Holiday Office and Heilongjiang Tourism Quality Supervision Department have checked the travel safety and service quality of a number of travel enterprises including Shangri-La Hotel Harbin, Harbin Railway International Travel Agency and Sun Island scenic spot, urging the concerned enterprises to set up emergency pre-warning systems, strengthen training and improving service quality.
The coming National Day holiday is the twenty-first Golden Week holiday held in China and it is important turning point for Heilongjiang's tourism industry, said Bo Xiru, director of Heilongjiang Tourism Department. It is estimated that the province will receive more tourists this autumn, while the coming period will help the province to reduce the low season in the autumn.
Heilongjiang Tourism Department has issued a circular to the tourism departments of various levels across the province, asking them to enlarge their respective checks on hotels, scenic spots and transportation to prevent accidents from occurring.
