Olympics Hotel Price Hike
Hotels in Beijing have dramatically increased the room price by 5-8 times during the next year's Olympic Game according to the Beijing Olympics Committee. Hotel rooms at the deluxe hotels have been largely booked and the first round of booking for economical hotels has just begun.
Prices for some mediocre 3-star hotels has soared to around 1500 yuan( $198 USD)/per night from the common price of 200 yuan about 5 times' rise. Hotel rooms at the five-star hotels will cost 600 $ USD per night, increasing 6 times from the prices at normal occasion.
