Retrace to the Song Dynasty with "River Scene at Qingming Festival" in China Art Palace
An electronic edition of "River Scene at Qingming Festival" (清明上河图), a famous panoramic painting by artist Zhang Zeduan (1085–1145) of the Song Dynasty, opened for public viewing in China Art Palace, Shanghai on October 16th, 2012. China Art Palace is free to enter, but visitors pay 20 yuan to appreciate "River Scene at Qingming Festival".
"River Scene at Qingming Festival" features the daily life, and the landscapes of Kaifeng, the capital of the Song Dynasty (960–1279). The electronic edition of was first exhibited in the China Pavilion of Shanghai World Expo 2010. This electronic edition is an enlarged version of the original work, the brainchild of many historians and experts.
