Shanghai Chocolate Dream Park Now Opening

Shanghai Chocolate Dream Park, the China’s first chocolate theme park, opened on December 16, 2011, and the park is scheduled to open for 66 days, lasting to February 19th, 2012. It is said that about 100 tons of chocolate was used to made chocolate exhibitions and about 70% of these exhibitions were successfully showed in the chocolate dream park.

The Shanghai Chocolate Dream Park consists of four areas: Wonderland Theme Pavilion, World Chocolate Pavilion, Chocolate Living Museum and Chocolate Magic Institute, exhibiting 70 chocolate exhibitions. The most significant ones are: the 9-meter dragon (which was made of 500kg chocolate and was sculpted in half an year) the Shanghai Bund landscape (using up 2,000kg chocolate and including Huangpu River, Oriental Pearl, Jin Mao Tower and Shanghai World Financial Center), two 13-meter long and 6 meter wide paintings created on the base of two famous ancient Chinese paintings: Dwelling on the Fuchun Mountain and Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival, the Terracotta Warriors and Dunhuang Grottoes.
