Shangri-la-Xishuangbanna round-trip flight to open
China Eastern Airline will commence a round-trip flight connecting the two popular tourist destinations of Shangri-la in the far north of Yunnan province and Xishuangbanna in the south of that region to cater for travel demand.
The new daily service is expected to start with the following schedules:
Shangri-la-Xishuangbanna: Departing from Shangri-la at 19:20, reaching Xishuangbanna one hour later at 20:20; the returning flight will take off at 21:00, 40 minutes later and arrive in Shangri-la at 22:00.
Shangri-la and Xishuangbanna are two internationally famed tourist destinations, featuring a unique South Asia feel and stunningly natural beauty respectively. However, in the past the long distance between the two regions and lack of convenient transportation has made it hard to combine the two places to one tour itinerary. The opening of the flight service will end this situation.
