Tibet Tourism Bureau cancelled all the offices outside Tibet
The Tibet Autonomous Region Tourism Bureau has cancelled all the offices outside Tibet that were able to issue Tibet Permit to foreign travelers. The highland tourism administration had originally set up offices in Chengdu, Xi'an, Golmud and Zhongdian to provide more convenience to applicants but the succeeding problem of repeated reports of fake documents has finally made it decide to remove all these offices. All the Travel Entry Permits since ever have to be issued in Lhasa and will be mailed out according to specific requirement.
Customers whose travel arrangements are made by China Highlights will receive their Tibet Entry Permit from our local office in the city where they depart for Tibet e.g. Chengdu if by air, Golmud if by Qinghai-Tibet Highway.
