Total solar eclipse to be visible at Yuehu (Moon Lake) Park of Shanghai on July 22

Total solar eclipse will be visible at Sheshan Yuehu (Moon Lake) Park, Shanghai, China on July 22, 2009. The total eclipse will cover many cities of East China, including Shanghai, Hangzhou, Haining and Huangshan. Yuehu (Moon Lake) Park is one of the best places to witness the longest total solar eclipse over a century. There will be a lecture on solar eclipse held at Yuehu Park, the afternoon on July 21. The eclipse will occur during the period from 9am to 10am, 22 July, and the maximum time of the total phase will last about 5 minutes. Standing under the shadow of the sun can be a rare opportunity.

Yuehu (Moon Lake) Park will be open at 6:30 on July 22, 2009 and tourists will have enough time to set up their observation instruments. Simple observation instruments are available at the park.
