Trains to Tibet Fully Booked

Since the opening of the Qinghai-Tibet railway two weeks ago, it has carried over 7,241 passengers from Xining, the starting point of the magical highland track. All trains from Xining to Lhasa had been full since July 1, said an official from Xining Railway Station.

 

Now there passenger trains travel to Tibet from Beijing, Chengdu(or Chongqing) and Xining(or Lanzhou) everyday.

 

Trains to Tibet have proved extremely popular due to its convenience, cost and the scenery en route and train tickets are extremely hard to get.
