Xinjiang raise attraction fees

Entrance fees to five famous attractions in Xinjiang including the Canas National Park, Heavenly Lake were reported to increase since 10th, May.

According to the new price policy, the entrance fee to the Heavenly Lake is 100 yuan/ per person in peak seasons and reduces to 40 yuan/per person in low seasons. Entrance fee to the Kanas National Park is 150 yuan and 80 yuan in peak seasons and low seasons respectively.

Attraction fee to the Kilzil Thousand Buddhist Cave in Kuqa and Abakh Khoja Tomb in Kashgar are also increased considerably.

Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has invested a large sum of money on tourism infrastructure construction and improvement and its accomplishments are obvious which are evidenced by the new outlooks of the regions' tourism industry. However, the attractions fee still remain the same as 6 years ago, which according the local government, is unreasonable. Another reason to massively increase entrance fee is believed to boost the area's tourism industry.
