Train Service from Yinchuan to Dunhuang to Open

Mogao Grottoes in DunhuangTo provide more convenience and choices to those who want to travel to Dunhuang, the Lanzhou Railway Bureau will open a new train service connecting Yinchuan, capital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in northwest China with Dunhuang on 26 this month.

 

The train number is N927/928 and it will operate every other day. The train will pass through some popular tourist destinations on the way including, Qingtongxia, Zhongwei, Wuwei, Zhangye, Jiayuguan, Yunen Town and so on.

 

The service is expected to begin with the following schedules:

 

N927: Yinchuan-Dunhuang: Leave Yinchuan 15:20 and arrive in Dunhuang 10:06 the next day.

N928: Dunhuang-Yinchuan: Depart from Dunhuang at 13:16 and reach Yinchuan 09:20 the next day.

 

Currently there is no further information on pricing.

 

Dunhuang is in Gansu Province of west China. It used to serve as one of China’s most important ancient trading posts on the Silk Road. History has endowed the city with abundant historical sites and cultural heritage. Apart from the unrivaled Buddhist carvings in Mogao Grottos, the White Horse Pagoda, the old Yangyuan City and Han Dynasty Beacon Lights are all well worth seeing.
