Mountain Emei- A Haven of Buddhist Culture   - Top -

Emei Mountain in Sichuan Province in Southwest China is one of the most well-known summer destinations in China thanks to its pleasant weather, congenial atmosphere, the inspiring natural scenery and the influence of the Buddhist culture. The mountain is characterized by lofty ancient trees, impressive waterfalls, pristine brooks and numerous Buddhist temples.

Guiyang- An Enclave of Coolness   - Top -

Guiyang in southwest China has been gradually thrust into tourist limelight as the best city in China to escape summer heat. In 2006 Guiyang had the distinction of being chosen as the best summer destination in China. But the result does little justice to the city's pleasant summer weather condition and unique charm. 

While the vast majority of China has very hot summers, Guiyang is an enclave of coolness where a thin quilt is even needed during the night time. Hami Melon Festival in Xinjiang
Hami in east Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in west China will hold its 4th Hami melon tourist Festival from July 16th to July 30.
Event include a Hami melon carnival featuring more than 80 varieties of melons for to visitors to taste. Folk songs reflecting the local flavor, stunt shows, and a beauty contest and many other events are in the calendar for the duration of the festival.   
"Hami" is the generic Chinese word referring to a group of crisp fleshy  winter  melons.  Hami melons produced in Xinjiang are characterized by fragrant smell and sweet and crisp taste with a high content of sugar.
