Shenzhen Spring Festival

February is cool, with an average high temperature of 20°C (68°F) and an average low temperature of 13 °C (55 °F). The weather is a little dry with occasional rains. Sometimes the days are windy, so wear your coat when you go outside. Light jackets and sweaters are good choices for staying warm.

The Spring Festival may take place early this month. During the festival, the city is filled with a festive atmosphere, and this is the best time of the year to experience traditional Chinese culture. However, it is also the busiest travel time, and flights and train tickets are difficult to get. If you plan to travel during this time, prepare in advance. Shenzhen Pedestrian Street is a recommended stop for the lively shopping scene.

I'm thinking of visting Shenzhen & Guangzhou in late Feb. 2012 for about a week. May I know what is the weather like? Do I need thick jacket? Is this the best time time to visit? Will this time over crowded with people? Will you recommend a 3-4 star hotel, clean, comfortable, near eating places and railway/metro station? Thank you.
The weather of Shenzhen and Guangzhou is similar, late Feb is Winter, with mild and dry weather. You'd better bring some warm clothes, jacket,cotton dress. From the weater, it is a good time to visit them. Meanwhile, both of these two cities are big cities, there are many people there, hope you know it.
