The Panda Breeding and Research Centre: The Centre is 10km north of Chengdu. This beautifully laid-out 230 hectare park is home to giant pandas, the endearing red, or lesser panda, and other endangered species. Visiting the nursery, you will see the highly successful breeding program and the many enclosures among lakes, bamboo groves and shady walkways, to view the pandas at rest and play. There's a wealth of information, a panda museum, and of course the engaging animals themselves.View Photos
Dujiangyan: It is an irrigation system, which was built over 2250 years ago to irrigate the Chengdu Basin, and it has been cultivated the whole basin for more than 2000 years already.View Photos
Sanxingdui Museum: This museum occupies an area of 7000 square kilometers, and has an exhibition of the cultural relics excavated from No1 and No2 sacrificial pits of Shang Dynasty (from 16th-11th century B.C.). There are thousands of pieces of invaluable relics such as bronze ware, jade ware, gold ware, pottery, and bone ware on the exhibition, where you can get a closed look and learn more about the ancient China.View Photos
