Tsetang Transportation

Tsetang Town, Shannan Prefecture, is a small town located about 200 km from Lhasa City of the Tibetan Autonomous Region of China.

Road
Road is the main transportation of the Shannan Prefecture. The capital Tsetang covers the entire 12 counties and the sights with highway network as the center, and the transportation is pretty convenient. The Tsetang Bus Station is at NO.20 Gesang Road. Each day, Lhasa bus station has buses to Tsetang. The prices vary from 37 to 42yuan according to the buses size. Also, you can rent yourself a car, usually Santana at 200yuan/car.

Air
The Gongga Airport is at the Gongga County of Shannan Precture. The Airport is 100km from Testang. The buses from Tsetang and Shigatse will stop by the airport at 20-30yuan/pax. Also, you can rent a car at around 120yuan about 1 hour’s driving.

Inner Town Transfer
City Bus: The city buses are mid-sized kind. The starting price is 1 yuan/person. If going to the near sights by bus, it costs around 2-5yuan/person.

Taxi: The urban district area is very small, suggested that taking the buses or walk. If visiting to the neighboring scenic spots, usually a taxi at 10 yuan is enough. If going to the further sights or Gongga Airport, the rental of a car is probably 20 to 120 yuan. Several people to share one car are the good way to reduce the expense.
