Day 1: Arrive in Beijing

Your guide will be waiting for you at the airport, ready to take you to your hotel in an easy-access vehicle, assisting you where needed.

 
Day 2: Beijing: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Hutong Tour

Tiananmen Square is iconic for both its vastness and for various historical events that have taken place. On the north side the Gate of Heavenly Peace leads you to the Forbidden City and the Treasure Houses within, where the items of Qing Dynasty Emperors are on display. You’ll exit from the north gate to begin your Tour of the Hutongs, which include a visit to a local family to have a chat about life there.

 
Day 3: Beijing; Badaling Great Wall and Peking Duck

The Badaling section of the Great Wall has spectacular views of the battlements and surrounding mountains, and a modern elevator makes it easily accessible. Were enjoy lunch on the way back towards Beijing.

In the evening a table has been booked in Fangzhuang branch of the famous Quanjuede Restaurants for you to enjoy the renowned Peking Duck.

 
Day 4: Beijing: Summer Palace

The Summer Palace was a retreat of the Imperial families, and the gardens and lake together with the buildings are so lovely that it’s no wonder it has been declared a World Heritage Site.

After lunch in an iconic restaurant your guide will take you to the airport for the flight to Xi’an.

 
Day 5: Xi’an: Terracotta Army

The Terracotta Warriors and Horses form a breathtaking scene in the underground vault, still posed in perfect rows from over 2000 years ago. The Forest of Stele Museum gathers together an impressive collection of ancient scripts and calligraphy, as well as objects from the Imperial tombs.

 
Day 6: Xi’an: Shaanxi History Museum and Muslim Quarter

Shaanxi History Museum houses a vast collection of a variety of artifacts telling the history of the birthplace of Imperial China. An ancient bluestone pavement in the Muslim Quarter covers a long avenue of interesting stalls selling souvenirs and crafts.

After lunch in a famous restaurant specializing in dishes originated from the Tang Dynasty, your guide will escort you to the airport to take a flight to Shanghai.

 
Day 7: Shanghai: Ancient and Modern

Shanghai is known as a city with a long history, and a bright future. The latter is explored in the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, and the Shanghai World Financial Center has a viewing deck with a glass floor giving stunning views across the sprawling city.

Part of the history of Shanghai is the Bund, where the European connection is revealed in the architecture of the buildings from the colonial era.

 
Day 8: Depart Shanghai

Your guide and a dedicate driver will take you to the airport for you to catch your flight onwards. We are sure you will enjoy this trip, it’s our goal to see you return!
