Day 1
(1 1/2-2 2/5 hours for 5km/3.2miles hiking) At around 10am, your Beijing tour guide will pick you up and drive you to Gubeikou (2 1/2-3 hours depending on the traffic). When we arrive at Gubeikou Section, have lunch in a local restaurant. After lunch and some relaxing time, we will start hiking up the Panlongshan Great Wall. Panlongshan (aka Coiling Dragon Mountain) is named after the dragon-like mountain ridge. Hike towards the famous General Tower for a jaw-dropping view. After the hike, we will get down the Great Wall. Check in a basic local hostel. Have dinner in the hostel or local restaurant.
Day 2
(4 1/2 – 5 hours for 8km/5miles hiking) Wake up early in the morning to climb up the watchtower for sunrise. Later, we will start hiking towards Jinshanling Great Wall. The wide-open and wonderful views will be engraved in your memories. Have simple picnic lunch en route. In the afternoon, you will get down to the meeting point, where your private car and driver will take you back to Beijing. End of the tour.
