Full Itinerary

Getting to learn Chinese and its history in Beijing and Xi'an, foresee prosperous future of China in Shanghai, all in 14 days. The Program is there for classes, schools and orgnizations around the world to deeper China experience.

Day 1 Arrival in Beijing

Students will be warmly welcomed at Capital Airport by their tour guide and transferred to their hotel or to meet their home stay families.

Day 2Chinese Class

Morning classes last from 9:00 to 11:40 from day 2 to day 6, with two 20 minute breaks between the three 40-minute classes. Class activities include listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. Lunch is available each day.

Afternoon classes: You can study tai chi kung fu from a master of Taoism, and attend a traditional Chinese handicraft class to learn about paper cutting.

Day 3 Visit Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City

After morning classes and lunch your guide will take you to visit Tian’anmen Square, the biggest city square in the world. Then explore imperial life in the Forbidden City, the world’s largest and best-preserved imperial palace complex, with 500 years of history to discover.

Day 4 Gaobeidian Village Folk Tour

Have classes and lunch. In the afternoon take a Gaobeidian Village folk tour to study with rural middle school students. Talk with the students to learn about the differences between Chinese education and education in your country. Enjoy the fun of making friends with local student.

Day 5 Visit the Summer Palace and see Pandas at Beijing Zoo

Attend classes in the morning. In the afternoon you will visit the imperial garden — the Summer Palace, which is famous for its landscaping and imperial culture. Learn more about imperial life in ‘The Museum of Royal Gardens'.

You can see many many animals in Beijing Zoo, but the favorite of many are the giant pandas. The giant pandas are the most unique, precious, and adorable fluffy animals in China.

Day 6Attend Chinese cultural activities

Day 6 is your last day to have morning classes in Beijing. After your classes, you will learn tai chi kung fu in the afternoon. Experience the profound fluidity of tai chi while exercising gently. Then you will learn how to write calligraphy and draw a Chinese painting to experience more Chinese culture.

Day 7Visit the Great Wall and Beijing to Xi'an Transfer

The Great Wall of China is the largest historical and cultural architectural site, a World Cultural Heritage Site since 1987. Visit the Ming Tombs, the best preserved Chinese imperial tombs and UNESCO cultural heritage. In late evening you will be taken to the railway station by your guide to catch an overnight train (soft sleeper) to Xi’an.

Day 8Explore the most famous early Chinese capital — Xi'an

Your guide and private driver will be waiting for you in Xi’an Railway Station and assist you with hotel check-in or meeting your home stay families. Learn about Chinese history in Shaanxi History Museum, displaying vast and impressive collections of the Tang Dynasty (618–907). Visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda to experience Chinese Buddhism in Xi’an. Enjoy a dumpling dinner.

Day 9See the Highlights of Xi'an

Visit the Terracotta Warriors in the morning — examine 7,000 previously entombed ceramic soldiers and their horses, bronze chariots, and weapons, bravely defending the afterlife of the ‘First Chinese Emperor’.

Ride a bicycle on the Ancient City Wall, which was built in the 13th century on the foundations of the original Tang Forbidden City. Experience local Hui people’s life by visiting the Muslim Quarter and Great Mosque

Day 10Xi'an to Shanghai Transfer

Fly to Shanghai Hongqiao Airport. There your tour team will be waiting for you and help with your hotel check-in. Just sit back and enjoy a stress-free transfer to the hotel.

In the afternoon, you will visit Shanghai Urban Planning Centre (headset not included), where you can learn about the past, present, and future of Shanghai. The exhibitions offer a fascinating insight into Shanghai’s planned future.

Day 11Learn about Shanghai's History

Morning: Visit Shanghai Museum, one of the most famous museums in China. You will see a large range of ancient Chinese art, including ancient Chinese bronzes, sculptures, paintings, handcrafts, and furniture of the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368–1911).
Afternoon: Visit Nanjing Road and the French Concession to learn about the present and history of Shanghai.
Evening: Enjoy the ERA acrobatic show.

Day 12See Shanghai's Highlights

You will visit Yu Garden, a traditional picture of old Shanghai. The garden is a typical Chinese classical garden, constructed in 1559 during the Ming Dynasty. Take the Bund Tunnel for sightseeing. Then visit the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, one of the tallest TV towers in the world, to see Shanghai’s tall modern buildings.

Day 13Zhouzhuang Water Town One-Day Tour

After a smooth transfer from Shanghai to Zhouzhuang Water Town, enjoy a traditional Chinese cruise. Water Towns are the quintessential ancient towns of Southern China culture. You will see picturesque narrow canals and streets, bridges, and local life on the banks

Day 14 Hotel to Shanghai Airport Transfer

The transfer from your hotel to your airport in Shanghai (probably Pudong for international flights) will be carried out by your guide, who will take you to the airport in good time with a private driver and comfortable transport.
