Thanks for your email. Yes we returned home safely and would like to let you know that we had a wonderful holiday. The guides in Beijing (Mr. Woo) and Xian (Mr. Liu), I would like to particularly praise as they responded to our problems of rail travel in a thouroughly professional, quick and friendly way.

In response toyour questions, here are our answers.

The best thing: There are no particular parts of our trip that we consider best, but the Terracotta Warriors and the Pandas are what we talk about most to our friends. The Yangtze cruise was restful and very enjoyable.

The worst thing: The worst thing was the confusion regarding our train travel. We would have liked to have had a cabin on the train to ourselves, even if we had to pay for 2 more tickets, however this was not possible at the time and China Highlights Travel arranged alternative travel which we found most satisfactory.
