The China trip was quite good. We enjoyed trips to the great wall, Terra Cotta Warriors, Li River cruise and biking in Yangshuo. I think the last two are most memorable for our family.

The best tour guide is Rebecca of Guilin and Yangshuo. Jeffery in Shanghai is close second. Jeffery is more experienced. Rebecca is more personable and she really know how to get kids involved and interested. Rebecca also went extra miles to find kids bike for my younger son. Unfortunately, it did not work. We were still able to bike in Yangshuo because Rebecca found a guide to ride a tandem with my wife while I took my son. In comparison to this good experience, we had to give up biking on the City Wall of Xi'an which would have been a highlight of the tour also.

The hotels are generally good. The kids like the Paradiso hotel of Yangshuo the best.

The best meal is Peking roasted duck. We were surprised by the good quality of it. You can only get this quality in Beijing. The ...more

China has a great verity of sights to offer. One can only use superlatives to describe the Great Wall, The Terra Cotta Warriors, The Three Gorges and the hustle/bustle of Shanghai. The contrast between the old China reflected in the country side and the Western influence apparent in the cities was eye opening and enlightening. The background information provided by the guides provided us with insight into the old and new. Each time we look at our photos we realize how much we saw and experienced in a brief 12 days. The shows were also great. We can't wait for our next trip.

Of course I should mention that all the arrangements you made which included 5 guides and drivers, 4 domestic flights with transfers, 10 nights in hotels, a 3 night Yangtze cruise, and numerous tours all came off without a problem. Each of the guides were pleasant and personable. Their English was excellent. The drivers were professional and safe.

I just wanted to drop you a line to tell you what a fantastic time I had on my trip and how much I appreciate your work, and the work of the wonderful guides you provided. Rita in Beijing and Adam in Shanghai (i can't remember their chinese names unfortunately) were both great, reliable, informative, personable, everything a person could want.I really liked them both.

Also, although she doesn't work for china highlights, I thought I should tell you that my tour guide on my second day in Xian Sharon (qianqian), was terrific. She actually made me feel like a friend, rather than just another silly tourist. If you ever open up and office in Xian, you should definitely acquire her services, she was really good.

I must admit, you really take care of your clients; the hotels were much better than i was expecting and the tours were so well organized, I didn't have to worry about a thing. Overall definitely a job well done and I will definitely recommend your services to friends ...more

Hello Mr. & Mrs Schneider,
Angela and I spend 10 days in China, I definitely recommend 10 days to be the minimum. We visited Beijing, Xian & Shanghai. We arrived at the end of Jan and stay through the Chinese New Year (FYI: it's the Year of the Dog). Like yours, it was a private tour. The packet we got included the travel within China, hotel, guide, driver, breakfast, lunch & some dinners and several nightly shows (ie Beijing Opera, etc).

I'm sure your're probably a little worry. I did research for about 4 months before our trip. I called the State Department, the American Embassy in Beijing and the Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles just to make sure that there were no problems with the tour company or our visit.

Just a note to say thank you, to you, and all your tour guides when we visited Shanghai, Xian and Beijing. I must say that each tour guide and driver did there best to make us feel welcome and looked after our every need. The tour was a trip to remember even with the sars problem we still managed to see all the highlights we wanted.
