Dear Karen:
Here I send you all the answers to your questions, and our feelings about the China tour.
The shights we enjoyed the best are The Great Wall and Terracota Warriors. Both of them are so impressive and magnificent. We also liked a lot all the temples we could see, as the Temple of Heaven.
The tour was as good as we'd expected. We enjoyed a lot in all the cities and counties we visited. The four tour guides were so professional, polite and all of them were so kindly, but we have to recognize that we had a very good time with Xin. She is a funny girl, and so lovely.
During our time in China, we stayed in five hotels, and all of them were so comfortable. The best one was in Yangshuo. About the meals, We enjoyed a lot trying new dishes and flavours. The Dumpling Banquet was incredible, and the sweet and sour sauce was the best one I've ever tried.....with chiken, pork, beef, fish....
This travel has been very special for us, not only because it was our honeymoon,

Hi, Sunny,

The best thing about our trip I would have to say was the cruise on the Yangtze it was just lovely, wish it could have been for a few days more. The Terracotta Warriors in Xian was also fantastic to and of course the Great Wall, but in all the whole trip was just great and everywhere when we arrived and had to go we got picked up and back to railway station or airport without fail. I can recommend train travel only not in China holiday time but if you have time it is a great way to travel no worries.
It is great to have some time for yourselves and not always be in a group the whole time. Ask your guide where local go and eat we had great fun in some restaurants with the staff many times we were the only foreigner there and the staff thought it was great. There are so many attractions to see the once you know about, but in the cities we tried to venture away a few times from where the

Dear Sunny,
Please apologize for not answering earlier but I had to go through all the workload in the office first. Holiday is over - unfortunately!
First of all we had a great time in China thanks to your fantastic organisation. We really enjoyed every single minute and will certainly come back to see more of China.
Now to answer your questions:
The best thing is hard to say-I think the best thing is that we have choosen CHT to arrange our trip. As we are very experienced independent travellers (we were backpackers for many years also in China in 1989) and don't like to be a member of a tour group it was very important to us to get some time for us. We just love to walk in the streets and take part of the daily life wherever in the world we are. One reason why we have choosen CHT is that for each destination you get a new guide. Like that we had the chance to get know different people from different ages and hear different opinions. Talking to our different guides and

Hello Elaine,
We were really pleased with the China Highlights trip and only wish we had made it 2 trips of two weeks each, ie Northern China and Southern China because there was just so much to see. As to the specific questions - with our time constraints, the tour was really good.
Best Thing: probably the time in Guilin. It was so beautiful and picturesque and the River Li Cruise is something everyone should experience. Of course, the Great Wall was a highlight because it is so spectacular when you can glimpse great stretches of it and can really begin to get a sense of the whole of it. Xi'an was an interesting city with a mixture of old and new architecture and the Terra Cotta Warriors and Tany Dynasty show were some other highlights for us. The Shanghai Museum was fabulous and we were glad our guide was able to rearrange our schedule to allow us extra time there. Also should mention the promptness of all our driver's and tour guides.
The Tang Dynasty show, Peking Opera,

Hi Elaine,
We had a great trip to China. Some of the best things were being met at all airports and train stations and taken to our hotel. It was definitely nice not to have to worry about getting there on our own and having the guide make sure we got on our next plane or train was also the best. The hotels you booked were all very nice and enjoyable. We also enjoyed the king sized beds. Also, the flexibility woven into the program was nice as we were able to make some changes easily and the guides were all helpful in this matter.
The guides were all nice and helpful. They were able to communicate well, though, and had a pretty good understanding of the sights we saw. Elena in Guilin was the most fun and Jeffry in Shanghai was the most knowledgeable.
Thanks again, Elaine, for all your help in organizing this trip. It was definitely memorable.
