Today's Activities: Temple of Heaven, Mutianyu Cable Car(round trip), Great Wall at Mutianyu

- Temple of Heaven: One of the most famous sites in Beijing, this is Ming architecture at its best: beautiful, controlled, and highly symbolic. The surrounding gardens are full of interesting activity, particularly weekend mornings. Wear good walking shoes and protection from the weather.
- Mutianyu Cable Car(round trip): It is a challenging climb up to the Mutianyu Great Wall for it is much steeper than Badaling section. Here you have the option of taking the Cable car to the highest point or down to the foot in a few minutes instead of climbing more than 1,400 steps, while you can also have a bird view of the wall.
- Great Wall at Mutianyu: This less-crowded section of the Great Wall is a pleasant drive 90km NE of Beijing. A cable car takes you to a good section (avoiding a very steep climb), where you can walk along the wall, through the watch towers and enjoy superb views as it snakes across the hills and mountains. You can return by cable car, walk down or walk along the wall for about an hour to descend by chairlift. Wear good walking shoes and protection from the weather.
- Roasted Duck at Hepingmen: In the evening enjoy the Peking Roasted Duck which is renowned as the most delicious food of Beijing

Day 3

Place & Transport: Beijing
Today's Activities: Hutong Tours in Rickshaw, The Tian'anmen Square, The Forbidden City
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch

- Hutong Tours in Rickshaw: A maze of historic alleyways and old single storey traditional courtyard houses, now fast disappearing. Dotted around the hutong are the Drum and Bell Towers, Tea House, and local people's houses. Your tour includes a visit with a local family.
- The Tian'anmen Square: The world's largest city square and enduring symbol of China's national pride, surrounded by many imposing buildings including the Heavenly Gate (entry to the Forbidden City), Museums, government buildings and Chairman Mao's Mausoleum.
- The Forbidden City: The Imperial Palace, home to 24 Emperors between 1420 and 1911. Great squares, halls and gates contrast with the intricate networks of side halls, gardens, courtyards and quarters for those who lived in this 'city within a city'. The exhibitions, both permanent and temporary, are also absolutely fascinating. Expect to spend at least 2-3 hours, wear good walking shoes and protection from the weather.

- City Wall: The walls, ramparts, gates and watchtowers form one of the oldest and most complete city defences still around. Built in the 13th century on the foundations of the original Tang Forbidden City surrounding the city centre you can walk, rent a bike or take an electric cart around the full 14km circuit, with great views of the city on either side.

Day 5

Place & Transport: Xian
Today's Activities: Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Forest of Stone Steles Museum, Terracotta Warriors

- Big Wild Goose Pagoda: A major Buddhist site, the simple, elegant brick Pagoda stands in the grounds of the attractive Da Ci'en Temple. The Pagoda was built in the 7th century to house the Buddhist materials that Xuanzang (Tripitaka) brought back from his epic journey to India. The Temple complex has several large halls with some great Buddhist statues and murals.
- Forest of Stone Steles Museum: A fascinating collection of inscribed stone tablets (steles), from very ancient to quite modern (Han-Qing Dynasties, 206BC-1911). All kinds of calligraphies and scripts tell stories, poems, classics, reports from around the Empire. Other exhibits include early sculptures and objects from Imperial tombs. This was once a Confucian temple, and the architecture and grounds are well worth a visit on their own account.
- Terracotta Warriors: Discovered accidentally in 1974, this incredible army of over 7000 soldiers, archers, horses and chariots in full battle array has guarded Emperor Qin's tomb since 210BC. Each figure is unique, and the painstaking repair and excavation continues in 3 pits which are protected inside huge hangars. 1.5 hours from Xian, there is also an excellent museum and film about the history of the vaults. Photos (no flash) are allowed. Wear comfortable walking shoes.

Day 6

Place & Transport: Xian to Chongqing to Yangtze, Flight No. TBA
Today's Activities: Cruise pier Transfer (Chongqing), Hotel to airport Transfer (Xian), Airport to Cruise pier transfer (Chongqing), Three Gorges Museum, Hanging Village, Ciqikou Old Town, One day tour in Chongqing, Be met at Chongqing auditorium at 06:30pm and transferred to Peiling by bus for boarding the ship.Overnight accomodation(Dinner is not included).
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch

- Three Gorges Museum: The best exhibits are those on the history of the Yangtze and, of course, the Dam. It also houses some excellent stone and terracotta sculptures, art and interesting artefacts, items from the war years, and temporary exhibitions. The museum faces the impressive People's Hall, built to resemble the Temple of Heaven, across a lively square, itself a hub of activity.
- Hanging Village: 13 floors of shops cling to the cliff face beside the river, built in traditional style. There are arts and crafts, clothing, modern shops and of course a lot of food and snack stalls and souvenirs. Much of it is under cover, and there's a theatre at the top which puts on some spectacular shows, both traditional and modern.
- Ciqikou Old Town: This lively old area has been partly restored, and remains an authentic and busy community. The old wooden houses and narrow streets furthest from the river are mostly unimproved, closer to the river there are craft and souvenir shops, teahouses and music, and lots of local food and snacks. The locals certainly love their food – this is a good chance to try some.

Day 7

Place & Transport: Yangtze
Today's Activities: Depart Chongqing at 8:00am. Shore excursion to Fengdu after lunch.

--Fengdu is where the devil lives, according to Chinese legend. They say that spirits go to heaven, and evil goes to Fengdu. The town is overlooked by Ming Shan Hill, home of Tianzi, the King of the Dead. The whole place has an eerie feel to it with deserted streets, tower blocks, empty shops and banks. The only people here are those who make a living from visiting cruise boats.

Day 8

Place & Transport: Yangtze
Today's Activities: Shore excursion to Shennong Stream(11:30am-3:00pm).
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner

--Shennong Stream is another tributary of the Yangtze River, and its fast-flowing, crystal clear water runs southwards through deep gorges. The stream races past large and small karst caves, flocks of swallows, sheer cliffs, deep gorges, waterfalls, three-colored springs, rapids, the ancient plank path, a suspended coffin in the cliff, groups of ancient tombs and marvelous karst formations.

Day 9

Place & Transport: Yangtze
Today's Activities: Shore excursion to The Three Gorges Dam Site.Arrive Yichang at about 11:30am(Chongqing-Yichang)
Shore excursion to The Three Gorges Dam Site.Overnight accommodation(Chongqing-Wuhan).
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner

---Three Gorges Dam, the largest water conservancy project ever undertaken by man and it has been a dream for several generations of Chinese people. The construction of the dam formally began in 1994. The body of the dam was completed in 2003, and the whole construction will be competed in 2009. It will be 2,335 meters long, 185 meters high, 18 meters wide on the top and 130 meters wide at the bottom.The tourists can get access to the top of the dam and enjoy different kinds of photo opportunities.

Day 10

Place & Transport: Yangtze to Wuhan to Guilin, Flight No. TBA
Today's Activities: Airport Transfer (Wuhan), Airport to Hotel Transfer (Guilin), Airport to Hotel Transfer (Wuhan), Cruise pier to airport Transfer (Wuhan), Cruise pier to Hotel Transfer (Wuhan), East Lake Park, The Yellow Crane Tower, One day tour in Wuhan, Be transferred by bus to No.23 wharf in Wuhan.(Chongqing-Wuhan)

- East Lake Park: The East Lake Park is located by East Lake in the eastern suburbs of Wuchang District. It’s the provincial key scenic spots.
- The Yellow Crane Tower: The Yellow Crane Tower is situated on Snake Hill of wuchang District.
It's one of "Three Major Towers in the South of the Yangtze River". It's the most famous representative building in Wuhan.

Day 11

Place & Transport: Guilin to Yangshuo
Today's Activities: Li River Cruise
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch

- Li River Cruise: A cruise along the Li River between Guilin and Yangshuo is an unforgettable experience. As you take in the stunning scenery there's something interesting to see at almost every bend in the river. Between spectacular limestone peaks you'll see graceful bamboo groves, farmers tending rice paddies, and lumbering water buffaloes pulling carts or cooling off in the river. You may see fishermen gliding along on their narrow bamboo rafts, and if you're very lucky you might see one of the famous fishing cormorants. Boats depart from various wharves, according to the height of the river at different times of the year.

Day 12

Place & Transport: Yangshuo to Guilin
Today's Activities: Biking in Beautiful Yangshuo, Yulong River, Chinese Cooking Class(English-speaking chef)
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch

- Biking in Beautiful Yangshuo: Experience the hustle & bustle of the Yangshou traffic for 5 minutes before you escape onto the country roads, lanes and tracks of the distinctive and beautiful Yangshou countryside. Biking through the paddy field and orchards that surround the famous mountains will give a fascinating insight into life in rural China. Centuries old farming methods sit side by side with mobile phones and satellite dishes.
- Yulong River:
- Chinese Cooking Class(English-speaking chef): The class begins at the local market where ingredients for dishes chosen by the students, are purchased. Back at the covered, rooftop patio-classroom, students have individual cooking stations, with a backdrop of mountain and park scenery. The chef begins the hands-on experience by teaching safe chopping and cooking equipment methods. As you cook, you will learn how the food you are preparing relates to local culture and customs. Previous cooking experience is unnecessary, but experienced cooks will enhance their culinary expertise. The teaching skills of the chef, and the efforts of the students, magically transform the fresh local ingredients into appetizing and attractive local specialty dishes. Finally, you will sit down with your fellow students, to enjoy the fruits of your labor in a delightful eating experience.

- Reed Flute Cave: Known as 'the Palace of Natural Arts' this large and well-presented cave system has some remarkable formations. Make sure you have some small change for the children who sell flutes for as little as one yuan if you've got nothing less than a dollar you'll end up with their whole stock.
- Elephant Trunk Hill: At the confluence of Li River and Peach Blossom River in the southwest of Guilin city
It is a national 4A scenery spot. The Water Moon Cave is close to the river. The water flows through it and the cave looks like a moon floating in the water. The stone drooped into the water like an elephant drinking the water of the Li River.

Day 14

- Lingyin Temple/ Monastery of the Hidden Souls : Lingyin Temple is one of the ten most famous ancient Buddhist temples in China. It also houses various Buddhist literature and treasures situated in front of Lingyin Temple, is famous for its more than 470 stone carvings of Buddhist figures, which dated from the 10th to 14th centuries.
- Six Harmonies Pagoda: The Six Harmonies Pagoda is definitely a masterpiece of ancient Chinese architecture that continually attracts visitors both home and abroad.
- Cruise on the West Lake: Lying on the west edge of Hangzhou city, West Lake is the symbol of Hangzhou as well as one of the most beautiful sights in China.

Day 15

Place & Transport: Suzhou to Shanghai

- Lingering Garden : Suzhou is famous for its gardens.Lingering Garden is an elaborate succession of small gardens. Lingering in a garden you will marvel at its unique architecture and art. It is located on No.338 Liuyuan Road, Suzhou City.

Designed to ‘linger’ through the generations, with a succession of small beautifully landscaped gardens, pools and pavements and a pavilion for each season. It has wonderful covered walkways, carved corridors, elaborately shaped doorways and perfect viewpoints for a variety of perspectives on this special garden.
- Panmen Gate: Pan Gate is an ancient city gate with land and water entrances. Once, a gate with land and water entrances was quite typical in ancient China. Much restored, this is one of the last remaining land and water gates in China, once a vital part of Suzhou’s defences. The city wall, towers and gates form a nice scenic area.The view from the top across the town’s rooftops and distant pagodas, is all the better because of strict local rules regarding building height and design.
- The Grand Canal: The Grand Canal ranks alongside the Great Wall of China as the country's greatest engineering achievement and it is the longest man-made waterway in the world. Cruising on the Canal, you can see the local peoples' life.

Known as the land of rice and fish, Suzhou city has a network of picturesque lakes and canals both large and small, which all link in eventually to the Grand Canal. The view from the little boats that ply the smaller canals is enchanting, whilst the traffic on the Grand Canal reminds you of Suzhou that it was the original source of the 'sea' silk road.
- Tongli Water Town : Tongli town has a history of more than one thousand years. There are over hundreds of gardens established in Ming dynasty and Qing dynasty, temples, cartilages and former residence of eminent souls. Fifteen rivers divides the town into seven island and 49 sets of historic bridges connect the town as a whole.

Day 16

Place & Transport: Shanghai
Today's Activities: Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, The Bund

- Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall: A short walk across Renmin Square from the Shanghai Museum, this is a fascinating insight into Shanghai’s future. The 2nd floor has a giant walkaround model of the city, and other floors have great displays, interactive exhibitions and walkthroughs of aspects such as the ports, greening, leisure etc.
- Oriental Pearl TV Tower: Standing by the Huangpu River with 468 meters high, Oriental Pearl TV Tower is the highest TV Tower in Asia .It is a new landmark of Shanghai in 21st century.(up to the last floor is not included)
- The Bund: Once the home of the foreign traders and major banks, the embankment has taken on a new vitality; lovely old European-style buildings mix with futuristic developments, chic restaurants, top end shops and bars offer plenty to see and do – and by night it's magic!
