- The Forbidden City (2.5 hours): The Forbidden City was home to 24 emperors between 1368 and 1911.This "city within a city" is a World Heritage Site, and is the largest and the best preserved ancient imperial architecture complex in the world, with great square, halls and gates contrast with intricate halls, gardens, courtyards and quarters. The exhibitions, both permanent and temporary, are all important treasures of ancient China.
- Tiananmen Square (50 minutes): Tian'anmen Square is the largest city square in the centre of Beijing, named after the Tiananmen (literally, Gate of Heavenly Peace) which sits to its north, separating it from the Forbidden City. It has great cultural significance as it was the site of several key events in Chinese history. As the world's largest city square and enduring symbol of China's national pride, it is surrounded by many imposing buildings including the Heavenly Gate (entry to the Forbidden City), Museums, government buildings and Chairman Mao's Mausoleum.
- Temple of Heaven (1.5 hours): Built in 1420 during the Ming Dynasty, Temple of Heaven is a complex of Taoist buildings where emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties visited for annual ceremonies of pray for good harvests. Located in the south of Central Beijing, it covers an area of 273 hectares. Temple of Heaven was enrolled as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1998.
- Courtyard 7 Restaurant: Courtyard 7 is located in central area of Nan Luo Guo. Its well designed Chinese style modeling, the layout makes it antiquity and rusticity. Its special featured restaurant provides new modern French dishes. Seating in Courtyard 7, you may see the fusion of eastern and western culture, and smell apart of old and new fashion air. Day 3

Today's Activities: Synagogue School Visit, The Mutianyu Great Wall(with round way cable car)

- Synagogue School Visit: The only one synagogue school at Beijing, it offers service for Jews living at Beijing about Shabbat services, weekly Parsha studies, monthly Rosh Chodesh Woman's study groups, holiday services, community gathering and food service. It will be good chance to know how the Jew living at Beijing. Visitors need send a separate email to school to introduce themselves in advance.
- The Mutianyu Great Wall(with round way cable car) (2 hours): This less-crowded section of the Great Wall is a about 2.5 hours' drive from downtown Beijing. A cable car takes you to a good section (avoiding a very steep climb), where you can walk along the wall, through the watch towers and enjoy superb views as it snakes across the hills and mountains. You can return by cable car, walk down or walk along the wall for about an hour to descend by chairlift. Wear good walking shoes and protection from the weather.
- Xin Shuang Quan Restaurant: Xin Shuang Quan Restaurant is near Great Wall of Mutianyu section. This garden style restaurant serves farmhouse dishes, specializing in rainbow trout, sturgeon and salmon. The fabulous taste will leave you with great memories.

Day 4

Summer Palace

Today's Activities: Summer Palace, Hotel to airport Transfer (Beijing), Airport Transfer (Harbin)
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch at Jing Mian Da Wang Restaurant (Di'anmen Branch)

- Summer Palace (1.5 hours): Much-loved summer retreat of the Imperial families, the lovely landscaped gardens, halls, pavilions and corridors are set around the lake and rivers in natural harmony. It is the largest and best preserved imperial garden in China, and also a World Heritage Site.
- Jing Mian Da Wang Restaurant (Di'anmen Branch): This restaurant of typical Chinese style, it serves authentic dishes of Old Beijing fare - hand-pulled noodles, cold dishes, snack foods and more. Having the taste of the tasty noodles, usually eaten with a thick sesame and soy-based sauce.

Day 5

Place & Transport: Harbin
Today's Activities: Jewish Synagogue, Dragon tower, The Jile Temple (Jile si), Ice and Snow Sculpture Gallery

- Jewish Synagogue: Covering an area of more than 1,230 square metres, it is the largest Jewish synagogue in China. Built in 1918, the synagogue exhibits how the Jewish people lived their life and told their historical stories in Harbin in the late 19th and the first half of the 20th century. Back then, Harbin once had the largest Jewish population in the Far East.
- Dragon tower: Dragon Tower with a height of 336 meters (1,102 ft) is a landmark of Harbin City, and it serves as Heilongjiang TV Broadcasting Tower. The observation platform at 190 meters (623 ft) gives a nice panoramic view of Harbin City. A revolving restaurant at the height of 186 meters (610 ft) offers a nice dining experience.
- The Jile Temple (Jile si): Built in 1923, Jile Temple is the largest Buddhist Temple in Heilongjiang Province. Its architecture and layout all follow the Chinese Buddhist style. It is very popular among local people, especially during traditional festivals, when people come to pray and burn incense. There is pagoda complex inside the temple where tourists can admire the ancient pagodas.
- Ice and Snow Sculpture Gallery: It is the largest Ice and Snow Sculpture Gallery in the world. Drawing the high quality snow material from Songhua River and carved by skillful and creative artists, these Ice Lanterns and other exquisite fine articles are in various shapes and shining colors, displaying the culture and art of Ice Sculpture.

Today's Activities: Siberian Tiger Park, Hotel to airport Transfer (Harbin), Airport Transfer (Zhengzhou)

- Siberian Tiger Park (1 hour): It is the largest breeding center in the world for Siberian tigers. Tourists take a bus with wire-mesh protection through the park to see at close quarters about 100 purebred Siberian tigers, who roam freely inside the park. There is also a cage area housing lions, pumas, leopards and ligers (result of a lion and a tiger breeding). Tourists can purchase meat or live poultry to feed the tigers.

Day 7


Place & Transport: Zhengzhou to Kaifeng to Zhengzhou

- Kaifeng Museum: It covers 16000 sqm area with 13 exhibition halls, displaying more than 50000 exquisite pieces of Pottery, porcelain, Chinese Painting etc. Three stone sculptures and pictures and drawings tell some of the story of Jewish history in Kaifeng.
- Kaifeng Jewish Quarters (2 hours): Jews came to Kaifeng around 9AD, and were widely accepted by the authorities and the local people. By 11AD, there were around 5000 Jews living in Kaifeng - one of the biggest political and commercial centers of the time. Some were promoted to be the ruling classes and made a great contribution to the social and economic development. A synagogue was built in 1163 however it was destroyed by flood in 1642. The last rabbi died in 1905. Due to isolation, the Jewish population in Kaifeng lost the contact with outside and many intermarried with those of other beliefs. Judaism lost influence and is no longer inexistence in Kaifeng. Around 200 descendants of those Jewish people still live in Kaifeng, and attract many Jews from the world to visit.
- Millennium City Park (2 hours): Located on western shore of Longting Lake in Kaifeng, it is a large historical cultural theme park with an area of almost 400,000 Sqm. It was founded as a tribute to the painting The MILLENNIUM CITY PARK painted by Zhang Zeduan, a famous artist from the Northern Song Dynasty (960AD-1127AD) and opened to the public in October 28th 1998. The Theme park illustrates the social life and architecture of the people of Northern Song Dynasty. The park also contains a museum to the history of people of Jewish descent that lived in Kaifeng.
- kaifeng diyilou baozi banquet: Located in the downtown area, Diyilou Restaurant is decorated in a Chinese style. It famous for its Steamed Stuffed Bun (Baozi).

Day 8


Place & Transport: Zhengzhou to Luoyang
Today's Activities: Our guide and driver will escort you from Zhengzhou to Luoyang, Shaolin Temple and Pagoda Forest (including Shaolin Kungfu Show)

- Shaolin Temple and Pagoda Forest (including Shaolin Kungfu Show) (3 hours): This temple is shrouded in legend and mystery. The origin of martial arts and kung fu is part of the mystique of Shaolin Temple and the Shaolin monks. This is probably the most famous temple in China, not only because of its long history and its role in Chinese Buddhism, but also because of its martial arts or Wushu. There is a theatre here which presents the famous Kungfu Show at 0930, 1030, 1130, 1400, 1500, and1600. It's best to get there early, as it is only a small theatre with about 200 seats.

Day 9

Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch at Zhenbutong Water Banquet

- Longmen Grottoes (2.5 hours): 13 kilometers to the west of Luoyang, Longmen Grottoes is one of the four largest grottoes in China. Live cultural relics lie amid green mountains and serpentine rivers. As early as 1961, Longmen Grottoes had been authorized by the central government of PRC as a key national cultural relic protection unit. It was authorized in 1982 by central government as one of the 44 National Parks of China. In 2000, it was enlisted into the List of World Heritage.
- White Horse Temple (30 minutes): Backed by Mangshan Mountain and facing the Luohe River, White Horse Temple lies about 20 kilometers to the east of Luoyang city, Henan province. Since White Horse Temple, Buddhism monasteries in China traditionally began to be called as 'temple'. White Horse Temple as a result was ever since regarded as the cradle land of Buddhism in China. In history, highly accomplished Buddhist monks from China, even world renowned Buddhist monks from abroad used to pay visits to White Horse Temple in pursuit of Buddhism inspirations and wisdom; it was thereby also called the 'Home of Sakyamuni' or the 'Court for Ancestors'.
- Zhenbutong Water Banquet : The restaurant was first built in late Qing Dynasty more than one hundred years ago. The building comprises five floors. The famous Luoyang Water Banquet fried dishes are served at the second floor.

Day 10

Today's Activities: The Terracotta Warriors and Horses, Ancient City Wall, Shaanxi History Museum

- The Terracotta Warriors and Horses (2 hours): Discovered accidentally in 1974, this incredible army of over 7000 soldiers, archers, horses and chariots in full battle array has guarded Emperor Qin's tomb since 210BC. Each figure is unique, and the painstaking repair and excavation continues in 3 pits which are protected inside huge hangars. 1.5 hours from Xian, there is also an excellent museum and film about the history of the vaults. Photos (no flash) are allowed. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
- Ancient City Wall (30 minutes): The walls, ramparts, gates and watchtowers form one of the oldest and most complete city defenses still around. Built in the 13th century on the foundations of the original Tang Forbidden City, it s surrounding the city centre. You can walk or pay extra cost to rent a bike (CNY40 per person), rickshaw (CNY45 per person for 45 minutes) or an electric cart (CNY40 per person) around the full 14km circuit, with great views of the city on either side. If the weather is not good for biking on the city wall, we will substitute a visit to the Bell Tower. Your guide will be very glad to take you the Bell Tower after you have been to look at the city wall.
- Shaanxi History Museum (1.5 hours): The history of Shaanxi is said to be the history of China, and this museum is quite simply one of the nation's best. Four major galleries in large, Tang-style buildings house a vast and impressive collection, beautifully displayed. Most of the item labels are in English, although some other information on the exhibitions is not, but your guide can help here. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
- Reallove Restaurant : Real Love Restaurant is located opposite the east gate of Small Wild Goose Pagoda and is one of the finest restaurants specializing in Shaanxi cuisine. It has become popular for its elegant environment and excellent service.

- Yuyuan Garden (1 hour): Yuyuan Garden is located in the center of Shanghai old quarters. It was a private garden built in 1559 during the Ming Dynasty, with typical Chinese classic architecture and style. The complex covers an area of 2 hectares, with rockeries, pavilions, ponds and corridors. Yuyuan Garden is surrounding by a busy market place, where visitors can find everything from popular local snacks, handicrafts, antiques and souvenirs to some famous time-honored restaurants.
- The Bund (40 minutes): This 1.5-kilometer-long embankment runs along the western bank of Huangpu River. On its west side it is the "architecture gallery" with 52 well-preserved old European style buildings. Once the major trading and commercial center of old Shanghai, the Bund has now taken on new vitality, with futuristic developments, chic restaurants, top end shops and bars offer plenty to see and do-and by night it's magic!
- Home's Restaurant: Home's Restaurant is located near the Nanjing Road. It specializes in Shanghai cuisine using the best local ingredients. Smoked fish and red jujube with sticky rice are well known in Shanghai. The restaurant enjoys a great reputation with diners from many parts of China and abroad.

- The Old Jewish Quarter (30 minutes): A vibrant Jewish community appeared on the banks of the Huangpu River in old Shanghai, for a brief flash in history. Now scholars and former refugees of this amazing enclave are trying to make sense of it all.
- Duolun Road (30 minutes): Home to a number of famous writers in the 1930s, the street has some nice restored buildings and art supply shops, curios, antiques and other old goods
- Shanghai Jewish Synagogue (1 hour): The synagogue is located in Changyang Road and was first built in 1907, as a religional gathering place for Jewish people during the Second world war,also the youth organiztion has put its base in the synagogue. Possibly it the place where most article and practical data about Jewish refugee resident.
- Xin Lv Bo Lang Restaurant: Lv Bo Lang Restaurant is located near the Yuyuan Garden and specializes in 4 types of Shanghai-style food, Shanghai-style snacks, shark's fin dishes and crab feasts. The restaurant has hosted heads of state from more than 40 foreign countries including President Clinton.
