Suggested Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Qingdao

Your personal guide and a driver will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to explore or relax.
Good to Know:
Qingdao had German influence in the 19th century, and this is where the famous Chinese Tsingtao beer is produced.

Day 2: Qingdao: Laoshan Mountain, Taiqing Palace

Your guide and driver will take you to see some important sites of Taoism near Qingdao: Mount Lao on the coastline is considered one of the cradles of the religion and Taiqing Palace is the birth place of Laozi, the founder of philosophical Taoism.

Day 3: Qingdao: Xiaoqingdao Isle, Zhanqiao Pier, Eight Passes, Overnight Train to Jinan

In the morning your guide will take you to see the more recent historical sights of Qingdao: Xiaoqingdao Isle faces the Zhanqiao Pier on the coast, and gives fantastic views across the sea. Eight Passes, also called Badaguan, are boulevards filled with villas form the German era, dating to the beginning of the 20th century. Shady tree lined streets create a charming environment for a relaxing walk.
In the evening we will take you to the train station and settle you in your compartment before saying goodbye. In Jinan you will be met at the station by the local guide.

Day 4: Drive to Taian to Qufu

In the morning a drive up to the top of Tai Mountain keeps you fresh for the sightseeing. A cable car takes you to the peak, Nantianmen Scenic Spot, for a stunning view of the mountain and then we continue to head for Yuhuang Peak.
Dai Temple at the foot of the mountain is one of two structures built like the Forbidden City; the other is Qufu which you will see tomorrow. It was built to worship heaven and earth, and sacrifice to the God of the mountain.
In the late afternoon your journey continues to Qufu.

Day 5: Qufu: Confucius Temple, Confucian Mansion, Confucian Family Graveyard

Qufu is the hometown of Confucius and an ancient pilgrimage place. Confucius Temple is second in size only to the Forbidden Palace, and shares imperial designs, such as being built in north-south axis. Directly on the east side is Confucian Mansion, also called the Kong Family Mansion. This is where the descendants of Confucius lived, and it is the largest landlord manor in China's history.
The Confucian Family Graveyard has a history of more than 2340 years and ancient forests surround the ten thousand tombs.
In the afternoon, you guide will take you back to Jinan.

Day 6: Jinan: Daming Lake, Baotu Spring Park, Depart Jinan

Jinan has been an important center of culture ever since the earliest times. Daming Lake in the north side of Jinan is a tranquil place known for lotus flowers and willow trees, immortalized in poetry. Baotu Spring has been made famous by mentions in ancient texts as “the best spring under the heaven", and it was necessary to create a park to protect it and the surrounding ancient pagodas and halls.
In the afternoon your guide will take you to the airport for your flight onwards.
