Day 1
Arrival at Gonggar airport and meet assist at the airport & transfer to Lhasa with 1 1/2hrs drive, On the way, you'll get greeted by Nie Tang Budda - a Budda image engraved in the mountain face.Afternoon at leisure for acclimatization or visit local bazaar on own.
Day 2
After breakfast, guided sightseeing with the Lhasa's cardinal landmark-Potala Palace. This massive 13-soreyed building used to be the highest building prior to the early period of last century, used to be the former winter abode for the Dalai Lamas. It looks incredibly magnificent from a distance and could be viewed from various places around the town. As the nation's supreme relic, the palace dates back to 7th century A.D. In the afternoon, visit of Sera Monastery, which was founded in 1419 by Sakya Yeshe, a disciple of Tsongkhapa. The “Buddhism Scriptures Debating” in Sera is very famous.
Day 3
After breakfast, guided sightseeing of the most revered religious structure in Tibet-Jokhang Temple. Jokhang, the most sacred temple in Tibet,refers to "Buddha's House" in Tibetan language because the main statue enshrined is said to be made by Buddha Sakyamuni himself in his lifetime. Jokhang Temple is the convergence of Tibet' Spiritual and secular life, like Mecca for the Muslims, here you can meet all the tribes from Tibetan plateau. The surrounding market is called Barkhor, one of the most important religious paths, which also assembles people for shopping. In the afternoon, visit of Norbulingkha,the summer palace of the Dalailama.
Day 4
After breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to airport for onward flight. Hotel: Shangbala hotel. If it is full in season, Gorkha hotel or other similar hotels in Lhasa will be arranged for you.

Note:
A Tibet Travel Permit is required to enter Tibet in addition to a China Visa. The Tibet Tourism Administration has recently indicated that they will tighten the regulations which control the issuance of Tibet Travel Permits. Besides now having to enter Tibet in a group of five people or more of the same nationality, the permit will be issued just 4-5 days before arriving in Lhasa. This means that we are unable to guarantee that a permit to travel will be approved. Also the permit will need to be sent to the place of departure in China for Lhasa by express courier. The additional cost will be 300–400 CNY. Your travel advisor will provide additional information. We apologize for this extra cost. However, it is out of our control.
I understand you would like to join a group for travelling. Here I would like to clarify that Group Tour Packages (SIC Seat in Coach Tours) may not suit everybody's requirements. We have had some complaints about these Group Tour Packages so I would like to explain the situations that may be encountered on these tours.
- China Highlights does not operate Seat-in-Coach Tours. We act as a booking agent for specialized SIC operators.
- The coach will pick up and return all tour guests to their hotels. Guests spend a substantial time on the coach while traveling between hotels. This time onboard the coach is included as part of the duration of the tour.
- A large tour group obviously reduces the ability of the guide to satisfy special requests from guests.
- Guests may be required to move through the attractions at a pace faster that they wish, to meet the demands of the whole tour party and the time restrictions.
- If you need to catch the overnight train, you will need to check out the hotel before you start the tour and you could save your luggage in the lobby.
- These tour operators will usually have two shopping opportunities each day.

We endeavor to ensure that a choice of western and Chinese breakfasts is supplied, however there may be occasions when only a Chinese breakfast is available in some remote locations. - Transfers:

As outlined in the itinerary an English-speaking guide and driver will be provided in each city, who will remain with you throughout your time in that city. A new guide and a new driver will meet you at each city on your tour, to provide you with the best local knowledge available. - Hotels:
Hotel fees are based on two people sharing one room with twin beds.
