February 21-28, 1972, U.S. President Richard Nixon traveled to Beijing and the Great wall, Forbidden City, Ming Tombs, Hangzhou’s Westlake, The Bund in Shanghai and Cruised the Li River in Guilin.

September 11-18, 1973 President Georges Pompidou- France visited China. He visited Beijing and Datong.

Former U.S President Ronald Reagan

Place: Beijing, Xi'an
April 28, 1984, President Ronald Reagan landed in China to start a six-day visit - the first by an American president since President Nixon in 1972. He and his wife were driven to Tiananmen Square, in the centre of Beijing the welcoming ceremony outside the Great Hall of the People. President Reagan also visited Great Wall, The Terracotta Warriors and Horses in Xian.
