- The Stone Forest: A fantastic natural phenomena located 90 km southeast of Kunming. The various shapes of karst landscape was formed due to the millions years movement of Earth. The Stone Forest area is the home of the Sani people, their folk customs has become one spectacular scene, the colorful embroidery and minority dances combine with the natural sceneries, which will surely leave you a deep impression.
- Market of birds and flowers: This market is a miniature of local people's life, also the gathering place of entertainment.There are various kinds of birds, fish, pets on the market, also you can find antiques, jewellery,and other hand-made crafts,a great place for shopping and relaxation.

Day 3

Today's Activities: Hotel to airport Transfer (Kunming), Airport to Hotel Transfer (Dali), Zhoucheng elaborate batik crafts, Houses of Bai People in Xizhou, Ancient City of Dali, Three Pagodas
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch

- Zhoucheng elaborate batik crafts: A town where Bai minority people live and is famous for its elaborate batik crafts. Here you can see traditional way of making those exquisite crafts by Bai Minority people, their delicated skills and methods of making crafts will leave you a deep impression. There are tie-dye workshops open to the public. You can also choose to buy some nice crafts. Sometimes the workshops might be very busy.
- Houses of Bai People in Xizhou: The Houses of Bai people in Xizhou is located in the Xizhou Town which is 16 kilometers away from the Ancient City of Dali.Xizhou is not only a famous historic city, but also a typical commercial town of Bai people. It is one of the cradles of National capitalism of Bai people, and a famous hometown to overseas Chinese in Yunnan. So, you have to understand Xizhou first if you really want to understand Dali and Bai people. You will see Bai' typical traditions, dresses there. Some buildings are old and typical anceint architectures, which are the real local house. On the outside walls of each house, there are numerous exquisite paintings showing the art atmosphere.
- Ancient City of Dali: the Ancient City of Dali is 13 kilometers away from Xiaguan, Dali city, and is located at the foot of Cangshan Mountain.
The Ancient City of Dali was built in the year Hongwu 15 of Ming Dynasty (1382AD). It ranks in the first list of Famous Historic and Cultural Cities of China. In the Ancient City run clear springs, and live simple and unsophisticated local Bai people. Whether rich or poor, local people are used to planting trees and growing flowers in the yard. So there is a saying in the Ancient City of Dali: “there runs a spring in every family and grow flowers in every yard.”it is a famous historic city.The local people have a habit of growing flowers in their gardens,with the clear streams of water,finely decorated the traditonal houses,a city well worth visiting.
- Three Pagodas: The Three Pagodas between the Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake are considered the landmark of Dali. Towering aloft in a triangle shape, the Three Pagodas were built more than 1,000 years ago. Stored in the pagodas are valued Buddhist scripts and scriptures.

Day 4

Place & Transport: Dali to Lijiang
Today's Activities: Shaping Market, Lijiang Ancient Town
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch

- Shaping Market: Held in the ancient town of Shaping, some 30km (19 miles) north of Dali. It's a local market full of various products, you can try those fresh fruits and specialties made by Bai Minority people, you can see people's exchange of animals,and have the first-hand touch of local people's daily life. The market is extremely colorful and a good chance to buy local handicrafts,but you'd better learn to bargain.
- Lijiang Ancient Town: It is situated in the middle area of the county, which is more than 2400 meters high above sea level. It enjoys beautiful scenes, an indeed famous city with long history and splendid culture, it is very rare in China that such well-preserved minority ancient city still exists. The old town is quite busy in the afternoon and evening with an active atmosphere of the lights and crowd. An early morning visit will be less crowded.

Today's Activities: The Black Dragon Pool, The Mural in Baisha Village, The Former Residence of Rock in Yuhu Village

- The Black Dragon Pool: The park holds the Black Dragon Pool and got name because of it. The pool is listed in the Collections of Famous Pools of China because of its beauty.
- The Mural in Baisha Village: Baisha village is one of the Naxi Minority villages in Lijiang and is more special because of the collection of murals in the village. Painted over a thousand years ago, they combine the cultures of Han, Tibetan and Naxi people displaying the life stories of the Tibet Buddhism, Confucian and Taoism. The unique artistic style and precious historical content of the murals attract visitors from home and abroad.
- The Former Residence of Rock in Yuhu Village: The Naxi ethnic group in southwest China's Yunnan Province has built a memorial hall in honor of Joseph F. Rock, an Austrian-American scholar who was one of the first westerners to spread the long-isolated Naxi culture worldwide.

Day 6

Place & Transport: Lijiang to Diqing
Today's Activities: Tiger Leaping Gorge, View the first bent of Yangtze River at The Stone Drum Town(Shigu Town)
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch

- Tiger Leaping Gorge: As one of the deepest and most marvelous gorges, Tiger Leaping Gorges are located in Hutiaoxia Town, 105 kilometers away from Zhongdian/Shangri-La County. Spring is the best time to visit, as melting snow flowing down from mountains makes the river turbulence at its peak.
- View the first bent of Yangtze River at The Stone Drum Town(Shigu Town): Stone Drum Town stands the base of the mountain flanking First Bay on the Yangtze River. This town derives its name from a white marble carved monument in the shape of a drum. It has a diameter of 15 m and is 0.7 m tall. This historically relevant stone monument was erected during one of the earliest periods of history of the Lijiang area.

Today's Activities: Songzanlin Lamasery, Nixi black Pottery Village, Visit Tibetan Family

- Songzanlin Lamasery: The largest Tibetan Buddhist lamasery in Yunnan Province. Occupying an area of 33.3 hectares, Songzanlin was built in the style of Potala Palace in Lhasa and represents the Tibetan culture, the statue of Buddhists and many precious cultural treasures will leave you with unforgettable memory .
- Nixi black Pottery Village: A small Tibetan village in Nixi District,known for making the traditional black Pottery. About 70 out of the 100 families in the village are engaged in the business. Pottery making has a long history in Tibet that can be dated back 4,000-5,000 years. What they make here at Nixi are mostly household items such as pots, jars, stoves, basins and even soap dishes. Because of the superior quality, even people from Tibet come here to get nixi pottery.
- Visit Tibetan Family : A visit to a real Tibetan family is to have a glance at local Tibetan people's life there,you may be welcomed by the Tibetan Tea, snacks.

    Transfers between airports, hotels and scenic spots while sightseeing in Kunming, Dali, Lijiang, Zhongdian(Shangri-La) by shared coach with a driver and English-speaking guide (as listed above).   • Guide:
    As outlined in the itinerary an English-speaking guide and driver will be provided in each city, who will remain with you throughout your time in that city. A new guide and a new driver will meet you at each city on your tour, to provide you with the best local knowledge available.
