Canton Fair Transportation
During the Canton Fair, public transportation will be the most available way to get to the Canton Fair Complex (Chinese: 琶洲国际会展中心). The most convenient way is by subway.
Most local hotels will offer a transfer service for their customers for free. The Canton Fair has officially set up free shuttle buses for overseas customers from Pazhou Complex to the city center. Check our recommended Canton Fair hotels with transfer service
There are 8 Metro lines in Guangzhou. You can get directly to the Pazhou Complex (Chinese: 琶洲站) by Metro Line 8. The fare ranges from 2 to 12 yuan. Most of the signs and announcements in subway stations are in English.

Fenghuang Xincun • Shayuan • Baogang Dadao • Changgang • Xiaogang • Sun Yat-sen University • Lujiang • Kecun • Chigang • Modiesha • Xingangdong • Pazhou • Wanshengwei
Taxies follow the principles of "marked prices". The starting fare is 7 yuan (not including the fuel surcharge: 1 Yuan) for the first 2.3 kilometers, and it is 2.2 or 2.6 yuan every kilometer after that.
You can take a taxi at the taxi stop next to the Pazhou Complex. (See the location of the taxi stop on the map)
- 1. Print the address of where you want to go in Chinese to show your driver.
- 2. The demand for taxies in Guangzhou is very high, particularly during peak hours: from 8am to 9am, at lunch and at dinner.
Most of the star-rated hotels will offer a transfer service directly from the hotel to the complex, but the timetables are very different for each hotel. Ask for the timetable in the hotel’s lobby when you check in. See Canton Fair hotels with transfer service.
- 1. To allow your time to be flexible, we suggest you get the hotel bus to the complex and take a taxi or the subway back to the city center.
