Jilin Beidahu Skiing Resort is an important ski sport base and tourist resort in China.
Beidahu's advantageous location surrounded by mountains on three sides guarantee a comfortable weather conditions with very little to no wind in winter.. Skiers and snow boarders love Beidahu's varied terrain and enjoy its unpretentious alpine trails amidst peaks in the primitive forest.
Another feature of Beidahu is its first-class conditions and facilities, which meet to the most advanced international standards. It was the venue of China's 8th and 9th Winter Olympics.
It's 3 alpine trails total about 8,040 kilometers in length with the steepest pitch being 32 degrees. A cross country run winds through the dense forest. Three jumps of 90 meters, 50 meters and 20 meters cater for skiers of different abilities. 5 cable ways are capable of transferring 3,300 persons per hour. No waiting is needed.

Another reward for your ski trip to Beidahu is the picturesque Rime scenery which is considered to rival the landscape in Guilin, the Stone Forest in Kunming and the Three Gorges in uniqueness and it is renowned as one of China's four natural wonders. The Rime scenery occurs 60-70 times a year from October to next March or April.
The best time to ski in Beidahu is from 10am to 2pm when the sunshine shines on the snow tracks. It is very cold at other times (the average temperature in winter is -10.2).
Transportation:
- Flight: Jilin has flight connection with Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Flights from other places have to fly to Changchun, the provincial capital. Beidahu Ski Resort is around 1 hour's drive from Jilin city. There are trains and buses from Changchun to Jilin.
- Train: There are direct trains from Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Shenyang, Harbin and Dalian to Jilin.
- Bus from Jilin arrives at the Beidahu Ski Resort. The Ski Resort also arranges pick-ups and transfers for travelers.
Accommodation:
There are two hotels: a very new three-star hotel: Athlete Village and Beixue Building.
