Huangshan is a mountain range in southern Anhui province in eastern China. It has the reputation of being China's strangest mountain group. There are hundreds of peaks and thousands of ravines in Huangshan. The pines on the mountains are tall and have fascinating shapes. Huangshan (the Yellow Mountains) is home to clouds and mists. The sea of clouds that often enshrouds the peaks is present about 200 days a year. In 1990, Huangshan was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the cultural and natural category.
