I just posted a question about the bus from Xiamen to Hukeng Town. Instead of Xiamen I consequently wrote Xianmei. I hope you undestand I menat Xiamen.Kind regards, Frederik Noordam
There is no direct bus from Xiamen to Hukeng town. You can take bus from Hubin bus station at Xiamen to Yongding. on internet , I found the bus departs at 7:50 8:50 10:30 11:50 in the morning, 13:00,13:50, 16:00,16:30in the afternoon the price is about 76 yuan (US$13) , it will take you about 3.5 hrs.From Yongding to Hukeng, there are many busese available daily from Yongding bus station, it is about 10yuan , about 40 mins. Dear Sir/Madam, We are planning to stay in Xianmei next February. From there we want to make a 2-day trip to Hukeng Town for looking at some Tulou houses. Is there bus from Xianmei to Hukeng? Can you give me some details traveling from Xianmei t Hukeng (busstation, time schedule, price etc.)?If we want to extend our trip to 2 days, is there a hotel in Hukeng and how can we book it?Kind regards, Frederik Noordam (the Netherlands)

You need at least 2 days for tour from Xiamen to Hukeng. For hotel at Hukeng area , only hostels are available, since February is the low season(except Feb.8th to 16th which is the Chinese New Year holiday) , you can book it when you get there . The price is from 100 yuan(US$16) to 180 yuan(US$29).

I plan to visit Xiamen from Ningbo, and then take a trip to my ancestral home in Nan''an. What is the best way of getting to Nan''an from Xiamen in spring next year?
Dear Sir or Madam, You could take a bus from Songbo bus station(松柏汽车站）to Nanan city. The bus is available from 7:30 am to 18:00pm and there is one every half an hour. It takes about 1.5-2 hours and it costs about US$4 per person. Songbo bus station is located at No.211 Lianyue Road, Siming District(思明区莲岳路211号). Lussie Lu Replied on 2012-10-25

I am planing to visit xiamen in jan 2013. Can you let me know whether I can go to the Nanzhong plaza, SimingWest Road, Siming District, Si Ming District Xiamen Bestel Hotel by train better or by bus please? l will arrival in 12 midnight and how long does take to reach ? thank you

Hi Dan, there is no train or bus at 12 midnight. So better take a taxi.
