Zhouzhuang Transportation
Zhouzhuang is an ancient town located in the border of Shanghai City and Jiangsu Province’s Kunshan City. It is 60 kilometers (37.3 miles) from Shanghai, 38 kilometers (23.6 miles) from Suzhou, and 30 kilometers (18.6 miles) from Kunshan. Although direct air plane and train are not available for Zhouzhuang transportation, the transportation to come and go to Zhouzhuang is quite convenient because of its advantaged geographic location.
Coach/Bus Transportation
Travelers can take a coach to Zhouzhuang via Shanghai, Nanjing, Suzhou, Kunshan and Zhejiang's Jiaxing and Hangzhou. The length of the time for taking a coach from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport to Zhouzhuang is about 50 minutes.

Air Transportation
Zhouzhuang has no airport, but travelers can arrive at Shanghai Pudong Airport, Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, Nanjing Lukou Airport or Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport first, and then take a coach to Zhouzhuang. The nearest airport is Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, and the length of the time for a journey by coach is about 1hour. Travelers can take a coach in Shanghai Stadium (上海体育场), Shanghai Gongxing Raod Long-Distance Coach Station (上海公兴路长途车站), Shanghai Hongkou Soccer Statium (上海虹口足球场) or Shanghai Long-Distance Coach Station (上海长途汽车站). Train Transportation
Travelers can take a train to Kunshan Railway Station in Kunshan City, and then take a coach from Kunshan to Zhouzhuang. Kunshan Railway Station is located at the meeting-point of Beijing-Shanghai high speed railway and Shanghai-Nanjing inter-city railway, and trains come and go to Xi’ning, Changchun, Shijianzhuang, Taiyuan, Chengdu, Luoyang, Fuzhou, Tianjin, Ji’nan and Zhengzhou are available in the station. After arriving at the station, travelers can take bus 88 or 111 to New Bus Station (新客站), which takes about 15 minutes, and then take a coach to Zhouzhuang in New Bus Station, and the length of the time for a journey is about 1 hour.
Getting around the Town
Travelers can take a taxi from Zhouzhuang Bus Station to the edge of the ancient town; the flag down fare is 9 yuan (for first 3 kilometers or 2 miles). Renting a tricycle from Zhouzhuang Bus Station to the edge of the ancient town coasts about 5 yuan. However, vehicles including bicycles are not allowed within the town, because the roads in the ancient town are too narrow. The only available transportation means in the water town is by boat, and the rent for a wooden boat in the ancient town is about 80 yuan with the capacity of 8 persons.

All the stations in Shanghai subways are signed both in Chinese and English, and when the subway arrives at one station, it is broadcasted in English and Chinese as well.
