Zunyi has a monsoon climate. It doesn't freeze in the winters, and it is not very hot in the summer. The climate is the same in most areas of Guizhou Province. The annual average temperature is between 13°C -18°C . There is abundant precipitation and lots of sunshine. It is suitable to visit all year long.
Chishui is the main tourist area in Zunyi. It is best to travel there between the months of May and October, since it is a little cold in the spring and winter. July and August, it is hot, but the scenic spots including Shizhang Waterfall, Sidonggou Valley Scenic Spot and Bamboo Grove are good to visit in the summer because there are dense forests.
Tips:
Since Zunyi is in the Yunnan - Guizhou Plateau, the weather is quite changeable. Take sun block and an umbrella with you. Whenever you go, don’t miss the chance to enjoy fine liquors in the Maotai Town of Renhuai City.
