According to China Rail, today travelers can book train tickets during the 7-day holiday of the National Day, October 1. Some stations, such as Guangzhou, Wuhan, Beijing and Shanghai, already have reports that tickets of some certain train routes have already been sold up only a few hours after the pre-sale time kicks in.
This year’s National Day is right after the Middle Autumn Festival, which is on September 27th. Some locals manage their calendar to shape up a long holiday of 10 days, giving more pressure on the railroad as tourists pour in some popular tourist cities such as Beijing, Xi’an, Shanghai, Guilin, Guangzhou and etc. Sleepers are always the hottest choice for long-haul travel while more people tend to “indulge” themselves by taking 1st Class Seats, rather than the more budget-friendly 2nd Class Seats.
To plan and carry on your trip, you may use China Highlights’ smart booking system to get train tickets during this peak season. Search and book as you go, China Train Booking app is also a good way to go. Get the app now: China Train Booking.
